About This Section
Welcome to the arts centre of rejesus. How do you imagine Jesus? How do you think he looked and sounded, and what impact do his words, and the stories about him, have on you?

Artists, musicians and writers have been imagining Jesus for the past 2,000 years, and these pages explore the pictures and words they have used about him.

NEW: This Easter, a major new drama on BBC1, The Passion, tells the story of the final week in Jesus' life. See video interviews, FAQs and more.   Six animated icons, six illuminated texts. Delve into a meditation with polar bears, waiting rooms, shoping lists and the seaside.
    jude simpson   Faces of Jesus
Slam poet, entertainer and comedian Jude Simpson writes five funny poems about Jesus and keeps an audio diary of the process.   Jesus was recently voted top black icon of all time. Look at our 12 images of Jesus, and vote for the one which appeals most to you.
evan almighty   The Da Vinci Code
This summer's must-see movie features a congressman stalked by sheep and a flood of biblical proportions. Find out more here.   Has the church been engaged in a cover-up for the past 2,000 years? We explore the background and claims of The Da Vinci Code.
    Narnia   Unexpected faces
With the release of the The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe movie, we look at the story of Narnia, and the life of CS Lewis.   The "face of Jesus" was recently discovered in the roots of a plant. We cast a sceptical and curious eye over unexpected faces of Jesus.
    Steve Turner   chocolate theology link

Steve Turner, poet and journalist, imagines Jesus being born today "in a downtown motel marked by a helicopter's flashing bulb..."

Explore the paradox of the events of Easter: bitter then sweet, death then life, dark then light, with this visual , eye candy poem.
    The Passion movie

Lizzie Everard

Find out the back story and what happens next in Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ movie. What impact did it have on you?

We asked photographer Lizzie Everard to make images inspired by Jesus's Sermon on the Mount. View her images, sketchbook and video diary.
