In three short meditations for Christmas, we follow the three main characters of the story – Mary, Joseph and Jesus – as seen in an eastern icon of Christmas. Christmas is so often sentimentalised and made sugary sweet, with cute angels and gurgling babies. We chose the icon above, with its unusual images of the Christmas story, to make us take a fresh look at the story of Jesus' birth. |
